A Young Lady Gets Arrested For DUI, Talks To Her Manager At Work, And Becomes Encouraged To Turn Her Life Around And Reclaim Her Self Worth

Jacquie was identified at work as a very conservative human being who had a superb work record. She in no way went to any of the happy hours right after work and it was regarded throughout the department that she was an extremely religious person who generally spoke about the pitfalls of alcohol abuse and alcoholism in our United States.

Try to think of the surprise in the company when one Monday AM Jacquie did not show up for work and nobody had heard from her. In reality, it wasn't until about 9:45 AM that the human resources department received a phone call regarding Jacquie from the downtown jail.

Apparently, Jacquie went out drinking with several of her college buddies late Saturday night and at some time around 2:15 early Sunday morning, Jacquie was arrested for a DUI. Since her blood alcohol concentration was extremely elevated, she was mandated to spend two days in the city jail.

When Jacquie arrived at the office on Tuesday morning, she right away informed her boss what had transpired and she asked if she could go and talk with the Human Resources director about her DWI arrest. The Human Resources manager explained to Jacquie that she should see somebody in the company employee's assistance program to discuss any probable drinking difficulty that she might have. The Human Resources manager also stated that she needs to discuss her need to employ a DUI lawyer to represent her concerning her "driving under the influence" case.

Moreover, the Human Resources director told Jacquie that it was a good thing that she really wanted to hire a "driving under the influence" attorney mainly because of the complexities and harsh implications which are related to a "driving under the influence" conviction. Just before completing their discussion, the Human Resources manager explained to Jacquie that it was quite encouraging that she doesn't seem to have any long term alcohol effects. The Human Resources director claimed that this is significant because according to alcoholism statistics and facts, the long term effects of alcohol not only diminish an individual's health, but that they can also tear down most, if not all significant relationships the problem drinker may have.

Jacquie expressed her thanks to the Human Resources director for his helpful and stimulating words and then walked over to the organization's employee's assistance program go over her "driving under the influence" arrest, her involvement in careless and irresponsible drinking over the past weekend, and her interest to retain a DWI lawyer to represent her "driving under the influence" case. After reflecting on Jacquie's "story", the therapist from the employee's assistance program articulated Jacquie's immediate "plan of action" that she needed to understand and follow.

First, she would be required to take a DUI class to learn more DUI Facts and information. Second, she would also have to attend and alcohol abuse class to address her probable problem drinking. And lastly, it would be a particularly intelligent thing to do if she were to consult with a DUI Attorney about her "drunk driving" arrest.
